About these images. Every still on this page was made with an AI image model, and the paper edit sheets elsewhere on the site are illustrations with invented interviews. We don't publish client footage or transcripts without written permission.

Setups that edit well

An interview doesn't need an expensive setup to cut well. A few habits make the biggest difference. Put a clip-on microphone on every speaker and record a backup on a second device. Sit the speaker away from glass walls and bare floors, which bounce sound. Let the interviewer stay quiet during answers, with no "mm-hm" over the guest. And ask people to repeat the question in their answer, so the line can stand on its own later.

One camera or two

A second camera at a different angle gives the editor somewhere to cut when a sentence is joined from two takes. Without one, we use a slight punch-in or a cutaway to b-roll, which works fine for most recruiting and internal videos. For a customer story you plan to use for years, a second angle is worth the extra setup.

Picking a style

Send links to two or three company videos you like, from any brand. We'll match the pace, the caption style and the title look, then apply your colors and fonts.
